HOW TO PARTICIPATE

It's Simple.

  1. Download and print off a terms of service agreement, read terms of service, sign and submit terms of service agreement to Smart Watch Columbus.

  2. Select one of the authorized Smart Watch Columbus vendors to plan and install your cameras.

  3. Work with your camera vendor to do a camera plan sketch and submit your camera plan to Smart Watch Columbus for approval.

  4. Install your system and share your cameras with Smart Watch Columbus. 

Participant Requirements:

  • Install at least one camera using one of our authorized vendors.

  • Cameras must be:​

    • HD 1080p Resolution

    • Installed and setup by an authorized vendor.

    • Camera must record to the Cloud​, 7 day minimum retention.

    • Cameras must be placed so they have adequate lighting for both day and night situations.

  • IP Cameras compatible with Smart Watch Columbus' systems.

  • Cameras must be mounted in public area where there can be no expectation of privacy. 

  • Participants are required to display at least one Back-Lit Smart Watch Columbus sign that is clearly visible from the street by passers by. Additional signage such as vinyl door and window decals, or metal signs are optional. 

  • Participants need to have enough Internet upload bandwidth to support the number of cameras you are recording and sharing. (See Table)
